Mix and match color station. Not a bad way to start the day's glass making session.
During the hottest part of summer the studio's glass furnace takes a vacation. That means I'm on a mad dash to make all the things on my list before the temperatures get to extreme outside and the furnace goes dark.
These are the last four pieces finished in June and, I must admit, they're new favorites!
When you realize you're one color short of a full rainbow, you add one more to the "to make" list. Because love is love is love is love. Happy Pride!
My first hour in the studio last night was all about birds and the last two were slatted for flowers. When I felt my energy flagging, I told myself I could try something new if I made it through my "to make" list. Sorting out the process to make these little guys was a fab reward.
To say I'm excited might be a little bit of an understatement. I've tried this shape off and on over the past few years without success. This week the pieces came together.
BUNNIES are coming with me to Eastern Market on Sunday!
